About the Event
INNER LIGHT PLAYSHOPS! 😊
Interactive playshops that feature a variety of introverted and extroverted activities that help participants tap into their intrinsic peace, wellness and creativity, as well as to help to cultivate self-love and appreciation, joy, playfulness and happiness! Activities range from meditation, visualization, healing touch, and light yoga/stretching to improvisational movement, sound/music and artwork. The first half is more quiet, relaxing and meditative; the second half is more extroverted, playful, creative and expressive. The objective is to cultivate a balance of peacefulness, vitality and enthusiasm. Although the playshops are interactive, everyone is encouraged to participate at their own comfort level and can pass on any activity.
PLAYSHOPS INCORPORATE MOST OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING IN EACH PLAYSHOP 😊
-Stillness/Silence (Meditation/Breath Awareness)
-Music/Sounds (Listening to Recorded Music/Making Own Music/Sounds)
-Healing Touch (To Self/From Facilitator)
-Movement (Stretching/Expressive Dance/Organic Movement)
-Art (Informal Drawing/Doodling)
-Playfulness (Tone of Playshop/Activities and Use of Props that Encourage Silliness)
I have been an office/research assistant, Ayurvedic masseuse, vinyasa yoga teacher and a stay-at-home Mom. I have also enjoyed practicing yoga for almost 20 years as well as exposure and experience with other healing arts and practices such as Qigong/Tai Chi, Reiki/Energy work and meditation. I believe in the creativity, compassion and power of the human heart and soul and that our natural state is one of peace, love and happiness. My 5-year-old son models this for me every day! When we clear our minds of analysis, judgements and fear, as well as constantly focusing on the past or future, we tap into our true inner light where infinite joy and creativity reign. Inner Light Playshops seek to tap into our inherent joy, vitality and creativity!
