F.A.Q

I have never been to the Ayurveda Natural Health Center, where do I begin?

Initial In-depth Ayurvedic Consultation & Bodywork are the ideal place to begin if you are in need of pulse assessment for organs along with your constitution, herbal guidance, along with food and lifestyle support and bodywork such as Somatic Trauma Resolution, Arvigo Maya Abdominal Massage, Lymph Drainage Therapy, Polarity Therapy, Core Sync Craniosacral Therapy, LIIFT, Pranic Healing, or are working with a specific and ongoing health concern. She will do what is most important for you in your first session.

Anjali is our primary practitioner at the center and can tend to be booked for up to 3 months. However, if you're looking for bodywork or other complementary service, and would like to get an earlier appointment, feel free to book with our team of practitioners as well. Find a list of their services here.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for my first session?

You will be sent an intake form that needs printed and filled out for your appointment. We recommend, if possible, to not wear nail polish for the nail assessment or take a picture of what they look like without polish to show Anjali at your first appointment. You are welcome to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable and come with any questions you may have.

How many times do I need to come to get results?

It varies by the individual. You may receive a lot out of just one session but each subsequent session progresses on the work done previously for more benefit. We do recommend the Renewed Health to establish good habits, more balance, and deeper sense of well being.

Is Ayurveda affiliated with a religion?

Ayurveda is not associated with any religion or spiritual belief. Ayurveda is a holistic practice that aims to guide the individual to nurture and balance mind, body, and spirit- but how one nurture's their spirit is unique to that individual and complements any belief system.

Can I continue taking my medications while also practicing Ayurveda?

Yes- please follow your physicians guidelines and speak with your healthcare professional about any changes to diet, exercise, or herbal supplements that may be recommended in your sessions. We encourage each client to have open communication with their health care professionals about the adjustments they are making.

What forms of payment do we accept?

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards (including HSA or FSA debit cards).

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept medical insurance. However, if you have an HSA or FSA these often will cover your expenses at our center. You can talk to your healthcare provider for any clarification or potential reimbursements. Some people write their insurance provider and ask for reimbursement after their appointment because it saved them so much money in insurance costs and they can sometimes get reimbursement.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You may schedule your appointment using our online schedule portal (recommended) or by

calling 937-429-9355 or emailing us at info@midwestayurveda.com .

Do I need to come on an empty stomach?

No, that is not necessary.

Will I have to remove clothing for my session?

This is dependent upon the types of therapies you are receiving. While some therapies are easily done over the clothes, others are more effective on bare skin (ex. massage). You will always have access to cloth for draping and it is always our goal that you are comfortable.

May a family member or friend sit in on my session with me?

Of course this decision is always yours as it is your session. However, many find that it is more comfortable to have a private session especially when discussing personal or intimate matters (which often comes up in Somatic Trauma Resolution). You may feel more free to express and relax into the therapy without someone there.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, we do offer 10% discounts for School Teachers, Students, and Senior Citizens towards sessions with Anjali Brannon. Please ask when scheduling your appointment. We also offer a referral discount, for each person you refer you will receive 10% off a session.

*Payment plans are available if needed and sliding scale is offered to those with financial need whenever possible.

What if I need to cancel?

To provide affordable quality care to our clients, and minimize delays in getting timely appointments, our office has the policy of cancelling or scheduling must be done at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment by emailing info@midwestayurveda.com or by phone at 937-429-9355 or you will be charged the full amount of your appointment.

Exceptions to this policy is a medical emergency or inclement weather.

If I am already taking supplements do I need to take what is recommended for me in the session to get the most out of the therapies?

Not necessarily, Anjali does not like to overwhelm the body with too many supplements and there are plenty of ways to support the body without adding more supplementation.

How many times do I need to come to get results?

It varies by the individual. You may receive a lot out of just one session but each subsequent session progresses on the work done previously for more benefit. We do recommend the Renewed Health to establish good habits, more balance, and deeper sense of well being.
