About the Solstice
The winter solstice is the shortest day of the year. With only around nine hours of daylight it is the darkest day of the year and has been a time for people to come together and celebrate the opportunity that winter offers us to rest for the coming year. A wide variety of cultures and peoples celebrate this time of year with varying practices and customs.

This event is an opportunity to come together and celebrate the four seasons in their entirety while also addressing local food insecurity this holiday season.
